Since the start of term, students at Future Pathways have taken part in a breakfast club at Eastbourne Sports Complex. The students have developed their independence skills as they're encouraged to: prepare their breakfast as well as wash and tidy up after themselves. Alongside this, students have had the opportunity to use a variety of different kitchen appliances such as: toasters, smoothie makers and grills. As part of the club, students plan their breakfast with staff and visit supermarkets to choose and purchase ingredients as they're encouraged to try a variety of breakfast foods and drinks.
The breakfast club provides the opportunity for our students to enjoy a breakfast with their peers in a social setting that contributes to a balanced diet. Students have earned AQA Unit Awards through our breakfast club and received certificates that showcase their achievements.
